2. Age appropriateness (select a grade and related modifications)

 I’d say that second grade and up is the best age range to introduce to this medium. At that age, with guidance, it will be easier for them to build skills and conceptual understanding of the material presented. Starting with three Analogous colors( Three colors next to each other on the color wheel). A final project could create a rainbow effect using each color, ROYGBIV. 

3-To avoid harsh line residue softly color in a circular motion then repeat the motion with the water brush, and spread! To adapt new techniques and visual effect research!

4. Strengths (what does it do well)

The pencils had great coverage and surprisingly vivid hues. I found enjoyment in building and mixing ombre hues. The artist's loft watercolors had a good color selection and came with an application brush. Cleanup is easy, and it doesn’t stain clothing. They had great coverage and are a great medium to push them to problem-solve.  

5. Limitations (what does it not do well)

· I ran into a few obstacles when exploring the artist's loft watercolor pencils. It was difficult to blend lines that had not been applied lightly. The width of the pencils is thin, so it may be hard for children to sustain control during application. When applying too much water the color will run. Children tend to squeeze the application brush too hard, which could easily build to frustration. The tip broke off when I applied medium pressure when shading up and down, only occurring one time. 

6. Disclose your comfort level with teaching and what you might need to do to improve

· I need to improve on linework and find better blending techniques.
